Is medicine alone enough for dental pain?
by Dcare | Aug 9, 2022 | Dentistry
Many a times we see patients who come to us with pain and when asked to get the X-ray done to decide for the final treatment plan, they refuse. They believe that only medicines will relieve the pain just like we take medicines for cold or flu.
But is that true?
No
Tooth is like an organ of the body and when it pains that means that it is physically damaged.
So unless we repair it, the pain will not subside
Medicines can give temporary relief but not permanent. On the contrary by just taking the medicines, the problem still remains and it can lead to bigger problems if left untreated It can be compared to a thorn stuck in your feet .
It can’t cure by applying medicine. You will have to do the definite treatment of removing the thorn.
Thus dental problems can never be treated only with medicines, rather if you undergo the treatment at the earliest you might not even have to take any medicine for the dental problems
Thus whenever you have any dental problem, consult your dentist and ask for definitive treatment and not for medicines.
