Do you regret when you have to visit your dentist, that why didn’t I prevent this decay?
But after the regret, do you also feel confused that how do I prevent decay in my teeth?
Our oral cavity has numerous bacteria residing in it. When we eat food and it is left on the tooth surface, the bacteria get their food, they produce acid with the help of this food. This acid now attacks the tooth and causes cavity in your tooth. Now if the food stuck is something sweet, faster the process of developing the decay
So in preventing the decay, the first thing that you have to prevent is food sticking to your tooth surface.
1. Always gargle after you eat anything, and get your mouth clean of food debris
2. Avoid foods like chiki or sticky chocolates that will stick to your tooth, and if you do eat, don’t forget to brush
3. Avoid chocolates, sweets, chips before you go to bed.
4. If you feel that something is stuck in between teeth which is not coming out by brushing then, use floss to clear that food from in between teeth.
5. Don’t consume sweets foods frequently, rather than reducing the quantity reduce the frequency and preferably have it after meals.
Always be sure that when you sleep, no food particle is stuck on your teeth
And secondly if you see any black line on your teeth, you can consult your dentist immediately so that early intervention can save you from bigger treatments
Thus a very small precaution can prevent decay in your mouth and you can save your natural teeth for lifetime
