People are usually afraid to the visit the dentist. But the lack of awareness sometimes leads to bigger troubles when they have to go the dentist and are left with no option. So what are the common symptoms that you should visit a dentist?
1. Toothache
It is the most common symptom that will take you to the dentist. Sometimes it can happen that the toothache will subside with home remedies or even without doing anything by itself. But once if the toothache happens you should definitely visit the dentist as only the pain has subsided, but the cause of pain has not been treated
2. Bleeding gums
Many a times when you brush your teeth, bleeding occurs from your gums. Is this normal? No. if your gums are healthy, they do not bleed. So if you see bleeding gums while brushing or eating food, you should immediately consult your dentist and get your teeth cleaned
3. Ulcer in mouth
If you get ulcers repeatedly in your mouth then immediately consult your doctor. Ulcer can be due to nutrional deficiency or it can be because of some sharp tooth in mouth. Such kind of ulcers if left untreated can also lead to cancerous condition
4. Swollen gums over last tooth
If you have swollen gums over the last tooth in your mouth, it can be the wisdom tooth. If it happens repeatedly and if you have difficulty in chewing or opening your mouth wide open then you need to visit your dentist and get it assessed.
5. Black stains on teeth
Yes, if you see black lines on your teeth it can be decay on your tooth and you immediately need to get it checked before it starts paining,
Sometimes your front tooth can become dark or black in color as compared to other teeth. That is again an alarming sign because there can be infection beneath your tooth which needs immediate attention
6. Sensitivity
Do you have sensitivity when you have ice cream or cold drinks? If yes, then that is not normal because there is some loss of enamel in your teeth that is causing that sensitivity. If you have sensitivity while having tea, then it is more dangerous and you need immediate care otherwise it can lead to unbearable pain overnight
7. Missing tooth
Do you have any tooth which was removed before years? Yes you need to get that replaced because if not replaced it can change the position of three other teeth adjacent to it and can compromise your function of chewing and thus your overall health.
8. Maligned teeth
Are your teeth crooked and not in a same line. Does it decrease your confidence to smile? If yes then you need to get your teeth aligned so that you can smile back with confidence. Moreover, if you have difficulty in chewing then you need to get it corrected immediately.
9. Bad breath
Do you feel that when you talk, there is bad breath or have your friends or family complained that when you talk it smells bad. That might be because your teeth needs cleaning and your gums are not healthy. You should get the treatment done and boost your personality and confidence.
10. Pain in ears or constant headache
If you have complaint of constant pain in your ears or you have constant complaint of headache, it can be because of some problem in your tooth.
