How is it done?

The dentist first takes your photographs, measurements and gives you a ‘test drive’ of your Smile. Yes test drive, so that you exactly know what you are going to get in the end. Once you agree, your teeth are shaped accordingly and final measurements are sent to the laboratory for fabrication of your Veneers. In few days, they will be fixed permanently on your teeth.

Can we remove them once they are fixed?

The cement that is used to fix your veneer forms a mono block with the tooth that is the tooth and veneer becomes one single piece. So ideally it should not be removed, unless and until that you are not satisfied with the shape. That is the reason why your dentist always gives you a test drive, before the final cementation.

Do they damage your teeth?

No
Your teeth are shaped a bit but, it is in the range of 0.3 to 0.5 mm which is negligible as compared to the total structure of tooth

Are they painful?

No
Because the tooth is not grinded more, it is not painful at all.

Do they need to be replaced after some years?

No
If done properly and maintained well by you, they are permanent and need no replacement

Will you have sensitivity after the procedure?

No
Veneers are always done in the first layer of your tooth that is Enamel, so you can’t have sensitivity after they are bonded to your teeth

Can you eat everything with the Veneers in place?

Yes
All the things that you can eat normally with your teeth without breaking them, can be eaten with the Veneers as well

Can I change the shade of my teeth and make them White with Veneers?

Yes, you can make your teeth whiter as well
